To the people who say this film respects the mythology of the first...

Its such a slap in the face from the studio who BWP made so much money for to finance this giant POS and not the original directors idea for a prequel they came up with. Those ideas sounded really intriguing and like a lot of care would of gone into making it worthwhile and the studio just wont do it. I think the directors were involved as producers on this one but I can bet they secretly were shaking their heads at how bad it is, they said a few positive things on twitter but I bet they had to.

Completely agree it almost goes against everything that made the original so special. The original had no script, subtle scares, slow burn dread, no gore, no visual of the big bad, no jump scares... the list goes on. So disappointed ?
