Watch "The Autopsy of Jane Doe" unless....
..you still like the ultra shaky-cam found footage fad. 4/10
Much better film, same underlying topic -No shaky cam:

JANE DOE is one the better horrors of 2016...Blair Witch...not bad but you've seen better.
shareI actually enjoyed Blair Witch, but no question about it, The Autopsy of Jane Doe was the superior film and the scariest film I've seen this year.
shareI was just about to watch it but now I'm scared lol is there a movie you can compare Jane Doe to? I'm one of those weird people that like scary movies but I get so scared and I'll have nightmares for weeks and think about it over and over especially right before I go to sleep. So most things scare me lol and yes even this
shareThat's why it's so good, the first acts of Jane Doe are completely their own beasts, can't find a good comparison that would do it justice. Don't think they managed to tie it all together as well in the third act, but it's still the best horror I've seen all year. Brilliant actors too, Brian Cox is always great. But yeah, expect nightmares then. :)
Oh and this one....made no sense at all, a bit *beep* unfortunately.
Hey, sorry for the late response. If you haven't seen Autopsy of Jane Doe yet, the two most recent movies I feel like it can be compared to are Oculus and Last Shift. All three are movies set primarily in one single, secluded location and take place over one night with one person or two people experiencing something extremely terrifying that may or may not be supernatural.
I'm being a little vague in case you haven't seen any of these films. I liked Oculus a lot and I thought Last Shift was so-so, but they still rank well behind The Autopsy of Jane Doe.

Jane Doe got me hooked for at least 55 min, then it became regular horror. But this Blair with got me watching the clock with 15 min in!!
shareThe build-up (around 50ish minutes) was fantastic , but the pay-off was dreadful. Generic horror mixed with heinous expository dialogues/monologues. Such a shame.
But sure, it was better than Blair Witch. Nowhere near being as masterful and scary as The Witch, though.
I don't remeber seeing such a dumb couple ending... That ending was atrocious to watch to say the least.
shareYeah pretty much. The ending of Jane Doe was a let down for sure. First hour or so is pretty great, then the last act comes and it all falls apart. Still much better than this though, I agree.
