Rented this on RedBox...

After a few minutes, I kept getting this "Audio muted..." message from Cinavia, and had to turn it off because the message kept coming back every few seconds. I may just stop renting from RedBox.

I rented the bluray from Redbox... zero problems. Is your player updated?

reply

Updated? Sounds like something that would require wifi, which I do not have. Guess I'll have to quit RedBox.

reply

Since the release of BluRay, players have require updates. Some players have ethernet ports on the back, some have wifi, some have both. Also, did you check for fingerprints. People that rent discs LOVE to touch the damn disc for some reason...

reply

It's a bootleg disk. A software or flawed disc would make the whole thing unplayable, not just random audio cutouts where the video plays fine.

reply

I bought the Blu-ray, but it wouldn't play until I plugged a USB stick into my player. Maybe the whole thing is moderately defective?

reply

Yeah sounds like someone burnt it on disk and replaced it with a fake disk so you got screwed out of $1. Cinavia is copy protection on Sony stuff.

reply

Tons of scumbags do things like that. I rented a game last month, and there was just a printed out paper copy of the game in the case.

reply

That's because you are an idiot. LOL. "Your" type will always get scammed. This is America and that's what America is about. It's about taking money from the bored, lazy, and dumb.

reply

I'm well aware that America has become all about lazy millennials like you living off welfare and stealing from everyone who actually works for a living. Kids like you come around, believing that the world actually cares about you, before you realize that no one really does, and you hang yourself in a cheap motel bathroom, committing your first ever good deed.

Depending on what game it was you rented, you may have gotten a good deal.
