In the beginning, the clip that the group sees is a figure in front of a mirror and although I thought it looked like a witch, he thought it was somehow his sister. At the end of the movie, when the girl is running in the house, she passes the mirror and you see the same image. What was the connection?
shareThe clip was of Lisa, when she passed the mirror towards the end of the movie. The witch controls the woods and can control time. So when they were in the house, they were in the past. The video ends up in the future, where it was found and then put online.
shareSo, instead of the witch somehow burning an image into both sets of footage by some kind of witchcraft, we're going with them finding the footage they filmed in the future, and that being the catalyst for them to go and film it.
Apparently, the guys sister looks exactly like the girl in this film, and he just didn't bother to download the YouTube clip and magnify that image he thought was his sister just to check. Because, you know, not one other person might happen to have filmed anything in those woods, and anyone else who did wouldn't look like Heather's doppelganger like his girlfriend, even though they don't look alike at all.
Yeah, actually, that makes more sense than the rest of this crap-feet.
