Walked out halfway.

Couldn't even finish because of how bad it was. Waste of 24 bucks.

reply

Dumbest thing you can do spend 24 bucks and walk out on a movie halfway. It wasnt THAT bad and you missed the best part of the movie which is the end sequence the one really well done sequence in this movie.

Nice going.

reply

You are right on every account. While I agree with the OP that the first half was pretty lame, the second half definitely made up for it.

reply

I agree. Intense stuff.

"I'm the ultimate badass, you do NOT wanna f-ck wit me!"Hudson,Aliens😬

reply

Op is as dumb as a human can be to have gone through the effort to go out and see a movie but misjudged it based on their own personal tastes to THAT extent that they needed to walk out. Especially with a movie like this that was 100% exactly the crap everyone assumed it would be.

Although I do agree with Op regarding how bad the movie was, it was horrendously simple minded and amateur. Nothing new, nothing unique, very very annoying audio issues... The first Blair Witch was masterfully designed to appear amateur, this new Blair Witch was amateurishly produced with the intent on being good but falling flat from second 1.

reply

Hahaha thats stupid then, the last 45 minutes is what i wont forget so soon.. Loved the movie !

reply

You actually spent money on this POS? I'm guessing you haven't seen the horrible trailer beforehand then.

Play with monkeys, put bananas in hidden places

reply

Yeah, because trailers can always tell you if a movie is truly good or bad all of the time.

If I based my opinion of movies on the trailer, I would have missed out on some good movies that I ended up liking a lot.

reply

What would u say is more valuable...time or money? He wasted his money on this film yet you waste your time on this films board.

reply

Lol I guess that makes you one of the cool kids.

reply

I wish I had. I don't know why people thought the ending sequence was so good: it was TERRIBLE. I giggled at one point and then just got... bored. Impatient.

reply

I thought the ending was pretty stupid too, not at all good. I guess if you like a whole lot of illogical plot lines, lots of running around in the dark, and tons of screaming I guess you would like it. Otherwise it was just like a ton of other movies out there.
This movie is only good if you think jump scares are unique or something. At least in the first Blair Witch there was better tension as it built up. Here, they just go to the woods, camp out once, and they're lost. Just like that.
Pretty bad.

reply

I'm not sure which is more embarrassing for you. The fact that you only stayed for 45 minutes, & couldn't be bothered to stay another 45 that was arguably the best part of the film. Or that you publicly posted about it in an arena where the majority liked, or loved the film. Are you a glutton for punishment? Hehe

The IMDB rating for this movie is currently sitting at a 5.7, the rotten tomatoes score is in the 30s, the metacritic score is sitting at 46 percent, and the movie is tanking at the boxoffice. The majority, even on IMDB, don't seem to have liked the movie. Sorry.

reply

You need to try reading more posts then. It may not be 80-20 by any means, but there are more positive posters then negative so far on here. Not all posters rate films on here btw.

reply

No. I've read plenty of posts. Most people seem to be at best indifferent to it, and then there's a very vocal minority that love it. Which is the general tone of every IMDB message board for just about any movie.

reply

Well I'll agree to disagree

reply

Out of all of the replies you got, only three people sympathized with you. Looks like the ratings are irrelevant in this case.

reply

if the movie is so good how come the box office is not higher?

if stupid crap like Annabelle can make so much money and all the Paranormal Activity sequels make SO MUCh

why did this "Great" movie failed? this movie sucks, this movie is awful

It is a really bad reboot that makes no sense and it is more boring than the original and more stupid characters. these characters are so dumb.

no one saw i because no one cares. no one wanted this.

reply

Breaking even is usually good enough because that won't count VOD and most overseas money. This movie cost 5 mil to make and as of 9/23 has made 16 mil.

That is a nice profit.

reply

studios only get around half of box office, 16 mil means it earns 8 mil so far

marketing I heard was reported as $25-30 mark., which is common for a genre film released this widely. it could mean total cost was 35 mil. to break even it needs at least 50 mil.
or something like that.
with a marketing budget of 25 plus production of 5, 16 mil is a complete flop

reply

if the movie is so good how come the box office is not higher?

How much a movie makes at the box office has nothing to do with the quality of the movie. It only reflects how many people went to the theaters to see it. You pretty well proved this fact with your second sentence about Annabelle and Paranormal Activity movies.

I'm not saying this movie is good or bad, because I haven't seen it yet. I'm just pointing out the glaring flaws in your logic.
Merry Christmas :-)

reply

Totally agree, rubbish movie.
Why ever bother to recreate the original which made huge profits and was originally made on a shoestring budget.
When did it ever seem like a good idea to remake it. Epic fail.

reply

and those numbers are supposed to prove that someone can't like this movie? No one cares about movie reviews and no one should because you should form your own opinion instead of listening to other people's. I wouldn't care if this movie had a 0% on everything, I'd still see it and probably enjoy it because I can.

You do realize that these sites only represent a small amount of the vocal moviegoers or movie fans period? Not to mention that trolls love to give it a low score because they have nothing better to do.

reply

then why is the box office so low? even stupid crap like Annabelle did much better.
every single paranormal activity did stronger numbers.

please explain how this "amazing" movie is failing so hard in every way?

reply

Literally hundreds (if not thousands) of excellent movies fail financially. That is a terrible argument.

I don't get how you're so gung-ho about "Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore" but somehow this movie is complete garbage to you.
