How could anyone waste so much potential to make a great horror movie?

This movie had:

1) one of the most upsetting and disturbing settings, the wood;

2) an already established legend in cinema by the first film, which became a horror classic;

3) the budget which exceeds the budget of the first Insidious (which was like 100 times more spectacular and visual appealing than this) for almost 4 *beep* times.

And yet, they've made a cliched, rushed, sometimes boring, sometimes messy, inconsistent film which on 4/5 copies the original one, with one of the most clunkiest CGI in horrors EVER!

Bravo, Adam Vingard! Now I know that waiting for your Death Note will most likely be a wasted time.

Nolan, I love you forever!

reply

There is no CGI in this film.

You're dumber than you think I think you are.

The creature at the end was CGI, no?

Nolan, I love you forever!

reply

No. It's was practical.

reply

Yeah, if you pause the movie it doesn't look like they used CGI to make that.

reply

Totally agree! Good writing is everything!!
