Another Oscars ceremony coronation for the Most Boring Film of the Year
One again they give 10+ awards to the most boring film.
Last year it was that garbage metaverse movie Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Just goes to show they vote en mass like a school of fish, all voting together without even thinking. So the movie that dominated box office (at a time when our choices were Barbie or Oppenheimer) gets all the attention and awards.
The academy awards are not so much awards for the best films, as they are awards for the films that "performed" best in the industry.
If your film doesn't do big box office numbers, the Academy doesn't care.
It doesn't matter how good your film actually is. That is completely irrelevant to an industry-funded, industry-run awards show.
