Is the FX showing of this movie missing key scenes? (possible spoilers?)

I just watched this movie on FX and I was lost half-way through. I think they edited out some key scenes. Here is what I saw:

...Max goes to see spider for a job. Spider gives the brain implant and exo-skeleton.
-- Cut to commercial --
Max is running through the streets with Kruger after him in a ship. He hides under some pigs...

WTF? I learned a bit later that the brain-jacking happened and Max's friend died in the process. Did FX really cut out a huge chunk of movie? What did I miss? Did the CEO guy die during the brain-jacking?

I have when TV channels edit these movies down to fit in a timeslot, and then remove key scenes in the process.

It was soooo boring - I was busy slicing to other shows on --- how did this even get made?

Haha wow you missed a really important scene. I can't believe they'd cut that. Yeah his friend and the rich dude both died during the kidnapping/data extraction scene.

They did not cut that scene. I have seen it 2 or 3 times tbe past couple of weeks.
