Something wrong with the rating!
The film was 8,1 yesterday and now it's 6,9! It's impossible, unless there was a massive negative voting. Or just plain IMDb hatred towards the main actor? "Her" is still at 8,0.

shareThe title for Him was changed a few days ago. It's now Him & Her. All those extra votes added on now must be for both films from people who do not like both actors.
When you have over 23 more votes for Him & Her you know there is something not right going on.
Weighted Average Ratings
IMDb publishes weighted vote averages rather than raw data averages. Various filters are applied to the raw data in order to eliminate and reduce attempts at 'vote stuffing' by individuals more interested in changing the current rating of a movie than giving their true opinion of it.
The exact methods we use will not be disclosed. This should ensure that the policy remains effective. The result is a more accurate vote average.
Would you know why 'Her' comes out to the same Arithmetic Mean of 8.1 but the filter applied to it didn't lower it by 10 points like it was on 'Him & Her'?
'Her': Arithmetic mean = 8.1. Median = 9
80 IMDb users have given a weighted average vote of 8.1 / 10
'Him&Her': Arithmetic mean = 8.2. Median = 9
103 IMDb users have given a weighted average vote of 7.0 / 10
Like I said maybe people are voting for both films on this site and that's why it has 23 more votes than 'Her'. Taking off 10 points is a lot and if it's done for one why not the other?
It's not that people are giving it a low number when voting, it's imdb who has made the mistake.
Maybe there is a threshold of 100 votes before the filter applies.
I don't work for IMDB so it's just an educated guess but who really cares.
Honestly, I would really worry about the Rotten Tomatoes score than the IMDB rating because people can just make accounts to increase the average rating, usually done by fangirls/fanboys, which make the rating pretty much meaningless.
I'm sorry, I thought you would maybe know the answer.
Thank you for your help.
