I wish... I know it's just a movie
shareYour statement makes no sense. But yeah idk why the hell he made it black and white when the first was in color?!
shareI think it fit the dark style of the movie.
shareIt was stated that Tom Six had to do it or else it would not be picked up by the production companies. I seriously wish people here would research more. You guys have no problem analyzing a movie, yet you cannot analyze why the movie was made the way it was.
Reminder: The O.C. resets to its first episode on POP network April 1 @ 2 p.m. EST
That is true kimmostar. But for me it was to distracting being in black and white idk by but it took away from the movie for me. But to each their own.

Lol
shareTom Six posted a pic of Martin in color and I have to say, it did not look as good. If it was in color, I think it would have LOOKED cheesy. The black and white adds something to the look of the film.
shareI think the BW makes the movie grittier. It´s just too over the top to be creepy/realistic if it was shown in color.
From the Trivia:
Tom Six shot "Full Sequence" in color, but "was always thinking about black and white" and realized while editing that it was "much scarier" in black and white.share
You will find another reason its done in BW is for censorship, you get away with more in BW look at Schindlers List ( some very full on head shot executions ) and Kill Bill, ( the Crazy 88 scene ) the BW obviously extracts you a little from "the reality" etc and it gets past censors better in some countries. However QT did release the color version of Kill Bill on an uncut Jap. release which also adds extra footage so you may be lucky. But the films done all BW are normally hard to release in color as they have been shot using special equipment/clothes colors etc better suited to BW.
