I downloaded the movie from itunes yesterday. I didn't realise there is a cut and uncut until I went on here and wikipedia. It's mentioned that during the scene when the lady escapee gives birth in the car, that she crushes it's head under the pedal? That wasn't in the movie I watched. Also that the girl on the end is raped with barb wire? I thought he just straight up raped her.

Thing is, the movie is pretty deprived, so why edit out those 2 scenes? We'd already seen some pretty harsh stuff, for example Martin's mother's bash in skull at the kitchen table. So yes just wanted confirmation that there are 2 versions? Also where can I get my hands on the uncut??

Hi there!

Well technically there's 4 versions, and only one is a full uncut version. There's a UK version, and the US VOD (Video on Demand). Also an Australia DVD which is also cut. The UK version is missing 2 minutes and 30 some odd seconds of footage. Since you seen part of the rape scene, this is the version you've most likely seen as the other cut version(s) edits out this bit completely. The UK version is also some missing other snippets from the 'centipede' part itself, and a guy getting his teeth removed with a hammer. In saying that, it's still a pretty extreme version of the movie.

The other cut version omits two full scenes - the rape scene, and the masturbation scene with sandpaper. This is the US Video On Demand version which is also available online.

I don't know what is missing from the Australia version.

However, if you want the full version, you're going to have to go to Amazon and search for the US region 1 UNRATED director's cut - this version is complete and uncut.

One of many reasons I don't bother with iTunes....
Lynseystars, I don't know if you have access, but Netflix has a fuller version on its Instant View. I can't say which, of the several versions that the poster 'Sins' enumerated, they have, but I recall seeing some of those scenes you were looking for when I watched it a while back.

I think a lot of the edited scenes were sexual. And as we all know... violence and mutilation is OK, but sex is dirty.

i just watched this on netflix last night. it has the sandpaper scene and the barbed wire scene in it. maybe they updated it since you posted 3 days ago. lol.
