shareThere was a "was it magic or was it imagination" argument theme running through the film as they discussed the bowling ball incident. The end scene was a vague "leave it to the viewer" trick, the way I saw it. The final message I got from it was: if you have hope, you can affect the outcome. So they are leaving some room for hope of survival.
