An Honest Review (no spoilers)

Yes it looks like his other european movies, however it is pretty good!

i dont understand why, as a writer and producer some of the voiceover intro is clearly not him, but dont let that put you off - its pretty much the only dubbing for the film.

It starts a bit messy and all over the place storyline wise, quick flashy edits etc. However there are many plus' to this seagal films.

1. He looks interested
2. The acting by seagal and support cast is surprisingly good.
3. Seagal has some good one-liners and back to being a cocky smart ass.
4. There is lots of action, well edited mostly.
5. Seagal gets lots of fights, there is some brutal scenes
6. Well paced - moves along and is interesting to watch.

He is at a restuarant with his hot 30 something girlfriend and these guys come up and pick a fight, seagal beats the *beep* outta all 2 or 3 of them and then turns to his girl and says " Now you know why i hate eating out".

LOL.

Give it a go! Worth a rent for action fans, definately a buy for Seagal fans!

I thought it was pretty lame, not one of his better DTV movies. at least the fight scenes were good, but overall not an interesting or worthwile movie.

Sorry realhiphop, it was awful, 10 million spent on what exactly? £500 was on the iphone they used to record it obviously.

Alot of the money probably went to getting the h0ez to take their clothes off on camera, it certainly wasn't for the supporting roles. As they couldn't act their way out of a paper bag, Even when me and my friend were watching it (Purely for comedy), He said to me *beep* this im going to sleep I dont even care how it ends, could be the best ending in the world and it wouldn't matter'

Yet again seagal still insists on having a wife/gf in the film thats about 3 million times younger than him, And ofc insists on calling her 'baby', seriously does he still think he can get women like that?...

The fighting is lame, everytime bloaterfish seagal hits someone they automatically break something (sound effect indicates this)

The editing is bad, Awful in fact, to try and make the film flashy and look higher budget..

Do not waste your time honestly. Not even if its in a bargain bucket in tesco for £1.

recorded on an iphone? you lost any credability at line 1.

Obviously not a seagal fan calling him "bloaterfish seagal".

you wasted your time coming onto the board for a film you wouldnt spend $1 on?

Here is my review, pending approval by the IMDB high court:

This might be the greatest movie of all time. There is just not a single more perfect movie in existence as of today, "Born to raise hell" is a cinematic achievement of astronomically epic proportions. This gritty, modern classic is most definitely a truly worthy winner of just about every Academy award this year, "Best animated movie" possibly being the sole exception.

Steven Seagal, toughest guy since Bruce Lees DNA was spliced with Mike Tysons, characterizes the deeply tormented soul of Interpol-veteran Bobby with a sheer brilliance that makes de Niro in Taxi Driver look like Forest Whitaker in Battlefield Earth. Seagal portrays the inner demons his characters are struggling with in such a subtle and ingenious way that it baffles the mind how such a performance could go unnoticed.

With absolute classic gold dialogue like: "You're not supposed to hit a guy when im holding him" "You know, trust is not one of my more spectacular attributes" "You should be chasing terrorists over in Afghanistan, not here." "Already done that, now im over here having fun" "You see why I hate eating out?" Also, the Russian guy: "Midgets are a little short. Money should never be" The only remaining question is, will the Academy be able to ignore this accomplishment and pinnacle of human evolution? In good conscience, how could they? Will they take the easy route as usual, and go along with some unwarranted hype? This is a movie for the ages, and in the year 2050 we will look back at this revolutionary film in the same way we today look back at Citizen Kane - and that's a certainty.

funny.....NOT

Just finished watching it and it was complete garbage. The production quality was that of a cheap Russian TV soaps. Seagal should should seriously consider retiring. Not recommended to anyone and even Seagal fans (if he still has any) should keep away from this stinker.

reply

Yeah it stinks compared to his earliar work, but atleast its better than the garbage Bourne Films or the Quantum of Sollace crap.

that's true.

realhiphop, I can't disagree with you on any of these 6 points. I would only like to add that this movie can be seen both as a new low for SS qualitywise or as an ingenious fit of self-mockery. It's got every element of Seagal DTV work cranked to the max: they don't hide the fact they're in Romania now, they don't shy away from populating the scenery with EE chicks, the plot finally is stupid enough to be followed easily, the movie looks like it was shot ten years ago with digital equipment of that time, the other guy dubbing creeps up when you least expect it, Seagal's enemies fly like in the MadTV sketches, and the SS moments of bully grandeur are bold as never before.

Why do we watch this ****, it's so addictive!!!!
