Why did Michael "divorce" Justine?

He just couldn't anymore. Throughout their relationship, Michael had probably seen that Justine can have her dark days, but never at the extreme she's demonstrated their entire marriage. And everything she did only exacerbated his feelings on the matter: disappearing for long periods of time to pee on the golf course or bathe in the guest rooms, trivializing the apple orchard he bought for her by leaving the picture behind, abandoning him when they're about to have honeymoon sex and so on and so forth.

Because it was the biggest day of his life, and she couldn't care less.

Although she seemed pretty happy until her mother gave that god-awful speech about marriage, then it was all downhill from there. It was obvious that Michael was getting more and more impatient as the night went on until he decided to 'call it off'.

I assumed he was looking out at the golf course and saw her banging the dude.

Because she was a terrible person.

Depression doesn't force you to treat other people like that. It doesn't force you to cheat on your husband on your wedding night.
