Regional Accent?

Does the actor who plays the minister who was supposedly attacked by a girl in an immigrant area have a regional accent? I'm sorry, I just can't remember the name of the character. He's the one with the gap in his front teeth. It seems to me his accent is not the same as the other characters. He was in last Saturday's (19th) episode on BBC4. He seems like a Danish version of John Prescott!

Just to say I find this series irrestible. Keep them coming, Denmark!

The old trade union leader who had to resign as Labour leader was more Prescott. His slick successor with the tricky private life had moe than a bit of Mandelson about him as well.

Sven is an entertaining old fox and more likeable than his humourless slightly sinister hard right colleague Yvonne. Can't think who she reminds me of.

He's definitely speaking with some sort of regional accent, but it's difficult to point out from where in Denmark. The actor is from the northern part of Jutland - a place with a very thick accent - but I'm not sure that's exactly the one he's uttering in Borgen. Whatever part of Denmark it's from, the purpose of him is to sound more old school rural than urban, to portray the outer right wing (and nationalistic) politics.
