Sanne {spoilers}

I still don't get why the P.M. and others in her staff thought Sanne was so unsuitable and why she was eventually dismissed. Yes, on occasion, she was a little bit of an airhead, but she did lots of things on her own initiative that helped the P.M. tremendously: looking after the P.M.'s kids when she was forced to bring them to the office, buying little gifts for the kids when they all went to Greenland, making some suggestions for Kaspar's speech for the P.M., etc., etc. By American standards, I consider Sanne to be more than competent.

There's your answer right there!

Why would you think that?

Being too focused on her duties, the PM did not notice her human qualities at first. Her lack of etiquette (like curtseying to the PM every time, as if she's in a ball) stuck out a lot more, especially to a newcomer to the office who thought that stuff could probably not be overlooked.

Only after she was gone and replaced by literally a machine (who knew the protocol well but was cold as a stone) did the PM realize that Sanne was more than a paper handler for her.

Never be complete.
