Any good?

The Fiona & Cake episodes were among the worst in Adventure Time, with a bland voice actress and the main hook of the show missing and not replaced with something that I thought was compelling. The normal show speaks to the boyish dreams guys had of just being a boy and his dog, adventuring, living in a tree house, having a crush on a fantasy princess, imitating adulthood but without really understanding the roles and responsibilities of it.

I don't see that analog in girls, like, you can't just invert the genders and think that the archetypal desires will match up or make instinctual sense. Does the new show go beyond that and come up with something novel and compelling? Perhaps only for female audiences, but still that'd be an improvement over the show version.

The Fioona & Cake series is not like the AT series, it's very different.
