I thought it was really funny and just a fun movie, and Gregg did put his touch on it, he only directed it mind. The movies he writes and directs are always better.:-)

He should stop writing then, because that's his best movie by a mile.

His best films are, 'Mysterious Sking' and 'Doom Generation' imo. But 'Smiley Face' is hilarious.

"Smiley Face" and "Mysterious Skin" are two of my favourite movies. Smiley Face is just fun and I love to watch it when I need a laugh...or I'm also high and bumming around. haha
I can't even count how many times I've seen "Mysterious Skin".
I had no idea they were from the same director. I really don't pay attention to that stuff. Sorry...hmmm, oh well.
But now that I know, I might definitely have to see this movie.

Never argue with an idiot...they drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Anyway he is the only man in USA who makes movies actually worth seeing (and Harmony Korine). Smiley Face was funny as hell, but he is a master in writing so this is gonna be very exciting!

What? You guys are crazy. His best film was Splendor by far, closely followed by Mysterious Skin. Smiley Face was fun, and had his pop fun flair like Splendor had, and it also had some great photography.

As for Harmony Korine, check out my blog below and you'll see what I thought of the bag of crap that is J. Donkey Boy. Ugh.

Smiley face is great. It took a little while to grow on me but since it did I havent been able to live without it. I'm a huge pothead and smiley face really captures how ridiculous you can become when you're too stoned, but with this kind of child-like innocence thrown in. Anna faris is by far one of the best and funniest comedic actresses of the past decade. As far as Greg Araki goes, since when is range a bad thing in a filmmaker? This is a stoner comedy and it's already found a place at the top of it's genre. Hilarious!

I watched Smiley Face just now, and loved it! It's my favourite stoner comedy now, followed by Half Baked.
