I think it would be awesome if they revealed that it was the Whisperers who guided that horde and are the ones responsible for "killing" Rick.

Cool/creepy idea, but I think not. Simply because there was a big time jump in between this episode and when the Whisperers were introduced, and I really don't think that the Whisperers would just know about Alexandria and do nothing about it for that long
