Is it worth to start a whole new war just to save a random girl and freaking Henry?

Apparently. There had to be some less dramatic way to get them out of there than to lure a bunch of walkers to the camp. This is gonna bite them in the ass like there is no tomorrow just like when Rick attacked the saviours outpost. Daryl of all people should know this. I'm sure he still has Easy Street playing in his head.

reply

Lydia is worth saving, since she is a victim of abuse.
Henry? He is expendable.

reply

Many people they care about will die because of this, i'm not saying Lydia deserves to be left to her fate, but they know Alpha has no limits and this is guaranteed to lead to tragedy. They could have gotten her in another way that didn't involve mauling down half the group. It wasn't that urgent. The whisperers are now taking the offensive because of this and it won't be nice.

reply

I doubt it will be enough to start the war, but Alpha is pretty much forced to respond, and it will definitely not be nice.

reply

It already is a war, the walker attack was the first step, i wouldn't call that anything else.

reply

Daryll is going to look out for Henry because he's Carol's son.

reply

Henry is the worst thing on TWD since the zombie apocalypse. How dumb is this fucking kid? I hate his guts FFS.
The worst plot device since Prometheus and Alien:Covenant a.k.a Dumb motherfuckers making stupid decisions...

reply

Seems a dumb kid making dumb decisions is their to go solution to get the usually level headed characters into trouble.

Lizzie
Carl
Judith
Sam
Henry

I can't say i can come up with a better way at the moment but as you say it's obvious they are just there as plot device. A kid character can be likeable though if written the right way. Mika and also Clementine from the telltale games proves that, they don't have to all be stupid and annoying, sadly it is a rare thing to see.

reply

I have to defend Lizzie. She was psychotic, not dumb. A tragic character.

reply

The most tragic thing is that she killed Mika, it's the only child character i liked so far in this show, she was smart and had great potential. A waste.

reply

You know the righting is off the charts when the protagonists do everything correctly but still get into trouble or lose the initial confrontation simply because the antagonists are plain better or due to things outside of their control. The movie/tvshow is immediately elevated in my eyes.

reply

I'm fine with the antagonist being better if it's just believable, what i don't like is when they choose to pull a so called deus ex machina and just throw in some random solution which shouldn't have been there at all, something they tend to do a lot.

reply

Just admit it tho, at this point we are all just hate-watching this trainwreck come to an end. LOL.

reply

Yeah, maybe, i think it was at it's worst around season 5 though, or at least it was the most boring. All i remember them doing was moping around in Alexandria. No big villain, no real surprises, no chocking deaths. Say what you want about where we are now but at least something is happening.

reply

Henry is dumb, impulsive and hotheaded. I don't like the character, but many teens do stupid things and refuse to listen to any good advice or warnings from their parents, especially if they have a crush on someone. Meanwhile, he's had zero training because he's spending all his time chasing a flaky girl.

reply

Yeah, isn't she supposed to be at the very least dirty and smelly? I doubt Whisperers even have access to soap, shampoo and toothpaste. Roflmao. They eat fucking earthworms for crying out loud. How's she even remotely healthy looking enough to be attractive for Henry? Is he that desperate? I know he immediately had the hots for Enid before he saw she had a boyfriend. Damn, postapocalyptic boners are superstrong. LOL.

reply

He must be desperate considering how fast he was to eat a worm to gain her approval.

She should have rotted yellow and brown teeth, too. And no deodorant. I bet they smell worst than the Walkers.

reply

She should smell the same as a walker since she was masked when they caught her, but maybe the whole world already has an overlaying stench so no one would really notice or care. Or he is a necrophile. I hope he doesn't ever stick his thing in that though. STD in the zombie apocalypse isn't recommended.

reply

I know, but my question is if he really is worth a total shitstorm, i'm not sure even Carol thinks that.

reply

Carol is his mom so she's going to love him unconditionally. The problem is Daryl probably feels obligated to look out for him since he is Carol's close friend. Daryl should ship the brat back to his parents and let them deal with him and his raging hormones.

reply

He could use a good spanking, has needed one for years.

reply

True. Daryl could put him back in the jail cell until his raging hormones are no more.

reply

I would be glad.

reply

If you believe the Iliad, the Greeks and Trojans got it on over a woman. This is pretty much Romeo and Juliet in Zombieland. Two families who hate each other and our star-crossed lovers... It will not end well for them.

reply

Now that you mention it, it absolutely is, weird i didn't see it.

reply

I said this weeks ago about Romeo and Juliet. In the writer’s room I’m sure it was awesome but they’ve totally ruined it because no one gives a shit about Henry and I can’t wait for him to die.

reply

It just seems like negan 2.0 at the moment

reply

Kind of.

reply

Alpha is worse than Negan. She is insane.

reply

I guess Negan would at least not leave a baby to be eaten by walkers.

reply

By negan i also mean the saviours war. I can see what will happen, war then attempting to make peace etc. Probably be harder with alpha being more of an animal than negan

reply

They are different in the way they view outsiders. Negan sees them as resources, Alpha sees them as pests. The way they keep their own people in line is very similar, from what we've seen so far.

reply

I think we are forgetting that they already killed Jesus, and had been purposely threatening them with "smart zombies" for the better part of the season so far. Whispers already started the war, it just took Hilltop a couple of days to figure it out.
If you are simply pointing out that Henry is a moron... ok I will give you that one :)

reply

Alpha said it was because they trespassed on their land. They didn't really want a conflict. Nothing more would've happened.

reply

Right, but as soon as she got the girl back she started grilling the girl about information and weakness of the group. Alpha can say a lot of things, what the group should believe is another thing all together.

Even if the killing was due to trespassing, you have to believe that killing that one person could, and likely would start a war.

reply

I'm not saying Alpha should be trusted but i think she meant it when she said that, why start a war when she already had her daughter back. They had nothing else of value to them. The whisperer's aren't interested in taking over any communities, they want to live out in the wild among the dead, something they have managed fine for years, it would only be a pointless bloodbath for everyone. Now they have a reason though which is revenge. Grilling for information is always smart, you never know what you can find out, it's just a way of being in control. It's true killing Jesus could've started something, but i don't think they tried.

reply

Henry is a total chowderhead, but he means well. Hopefully he will wise-up.

reply

Yeah, he is just a kid and tries his best, but it's hard to not be annoyed by all the stupid crap he does.

reply

its not alpha's land. each community has been for at least 6+ yrs.... they knew all the land between each community.. its not alpha's land...

reply

That is what she said. Apparently she defines it so at least.
