the Hilltop and crops

I don't get why the hilltop's crops are outside the wall? they could of expanded their perimeter to keep them inside. any enemy could light them on fire and poof... there goes the food. or a big herd of walkers could walk by and trample them all..

with all the people they could of easily pushed the wall back in a few days.

This is what really bugs me about TWD. There is no expansion plan. Sure, they have a few linked communities but outside of that, they are making no effort to expand their influence over the dead. Whack in a bunch of posts around Hilltop and link with razor wire. Boom. Semi safe zone. Slowly add to it. Absorb other areas. Progress.

Wind powered noise traps with burn pits at certain points away from the communities to take out the odd stray walkers before they even get to community. There's just no thought put into it.

Way back and the prison I was saying they should have burned down or cut down the woods around the compound so that they would see people lurking out in there. It was so stupid. This show is useless. I got hooked on the premise and how fun it was in the original season, and now I look back and it has been so stupid.

go look at the history of medieval castles ... it takes a lot of resources to make a huge wall ... ask Trump ... and a lot of manpower to defend large walls. Seriously though, after all this time you expect reasonable behavior from the characters on this show? Not me!
