what does Anne/Jadis mean by "I have an 'A/B'"?

It was never fully clarified. Though, being a "B" certainly looked like it would be much more preferable to being an "A".

A and B are people. Alpha and Beta. Leader and 2nd in command, respectively, of the next big group of bad guys. In the comics, designating people as A's and B's never happened, so I'm not exactly sure where they're going with this, but I assume being an A is bad, because Jadis told the guy on the walkie talkie that Rick was a B, seemingly to protect him.

I think As are probably killed or something worse.
