I just noticed now that not only is Rick leaving, so is Maggie... everyone is going... don't tell me the leader will now be Judith. I am guessing this is why they killed Carl so they could have a female lead instead.
Supposedly she will return depending on her schedule and whether this other show works out at all (I'm really prejudiced against network shows)..
...but she won't be returning any this season.
I'm wondering...did she take Hershal with her or have we lost our Greene/Rhee family connection?
I think you're right, actually. Only one person can carry the python (even though many of us are honest about the fact that the recoil alone would make it impossible) and wear the hat. And we're supposed to let that person have a penis, in this day and time? Please!
That said, I'm also honest about the fact that Chandler just wasn't a very good actor. Hopefully this girl will be and it will coincidentally work out in the end.
Well, obviously in real life, the leader would be a man. That's just how it would work out. Women would stop being strong, confident feminists the second society breaks down and life becomes a struggle for survival. However, TV is a form of escapism from reality, so honestly, who gives a shit. If I wanted "realistic" I'd go outside and experience the real world, which makes the TWD world look like Heaven.
Anyone depending on any "leader" would die. I observe how people handle minor emergencies like blackouts and floods and most people fail because they are relying on government or someone else for help.
Loner Daryl would survive since he has skills to live in the wilderness for weeks. Everyone else on the show would be toast.
In reality, those nutty survivalists would make it along with a few men and women who live off the land in the wilderness.
They had a seven year time jump so the actor who portrayed Carl would've needed to be replaced anyway since it would be harder for him to credibly look like an adult.
Judith appears to have the relationship with Negan that Carl had so I'm assuming she's his replacement. That's a nice twist from the comics especially since TV Judith represented hope for the future.
I doubt that Judith is the main character especially with stepmom Michonne around and labor laws for child actors limits her work schedule. I'm assuming that people respect her because she's Rick's child though.
