Lauren Cohan signing on for a pilot, without a contract for S9

People need to not freak out though, many pilots don't get picked up. AMC could make her a good offer first which would then preclude her obligations if the pilot were picked up to series. I'm confident Maggie will stay.

Good for her. Jump off this train-wreck of a show before it's too late.

Carl may be out and doing his own TV/movie career.

Lauren Cohan might be out. And some articles are speculating Danai Gurira (Michonne) might be leaving, as Black Panther's success is off the charts now. She'd do better focusing on that universe and other supplementary roles instead. There's nothing challenging or interesting for her character anymore in TWD.

reply

yep. nothing to see here, move along🙄

reply

I agree with what y'all are saying. But I hope they don't leave just yet. Because I want this show to have a decent ending. It does need to end soon, it's just not as good anymore. But I want it to do a proper ending and not just when they've gone through all the characters. I want them to plan and execute a good one soon and then be done.

reply

Yep, we all want that. Sadly, I don't think we will get it. I believe Lincoln and Reedus will jump ship shortly.

reply

The ending being what Carl envisioned would be a good stopping point. If they don't do the Whisperers, it could end after season 9. Otherwise season 10 and they do the Whisperers before the time jump to old man Rick.

reply

Maggie, the last of the Green family still alive. Everyone in her family died of stupid reasons, except for father Hershel and perhaps Otis.

reply

Wouldn't bother me to see her and Michonne leave. When it really gets down to it, this is a show about Rick Grimes and as long as he's there, they still have a show.

reply

Personally I don't think I'm up for just watching to see just how miserable they can make Rick before he gets it too...(and all alone at the end to boot). That's just not entertaining for me.
It already isn't.

reply

I agree completely with this. I am sorely losing my patience. I love me some Rickster, but enough is enough.
