Did anyone else think....oh, these idiots!

The moment Rick decided to stop killing the walkers while he was inside his carnival fence (and Michonne was a distance away inside her own fence killing walkers) to instead climb the ride to go attempt to shoot a deer?

Have they just been in this apocalypse for 5 hours? Kill ALL the walkers than go hunt your stupid deer. Deer gets away? OH WELL, WHO CARES!

reply

Yep. It was absolutely ridiculous. Rick knew better than this, and he knew there would be many more deer in the future. Instead he risks his life, leaves the walkers alone to shoot the deer, even knowing full well the deer would be eaten up by the walkers whether or not he shot it.

reply

I thought they were idiots when they both climbed onto the roof of a derelict building and then didn't spread out so both their bodies weight wasn't concentrated in one spot. I do give the show props, though, for having the two morons fall through the roof, though. However, major minus points that neither one of them sustained any signifcant injury falling through two floors of a building. And how convenient...there just happened to be a mattress on the floor where they landed...give me a friggin' break!

reply

agreed, their fall was ridiculous and yes, one or both would have sustained injuries. That they started "giggling" like idiots was silly.

reply

They did fall on some type of bed or mattress... however I agree the whole carnival segment was Zoolanderesque in its stupidity.

reply

And how convenient that a mattress or the like, broke their fall! WTF?

reply

Yep they are within driving distance of a warehouse full of food and an army full of guns with a freaking Ferris Wheel marking its horizon and somehow the Saviors haven't found this? There was no wormhole, some magical passageway with a secret password... Yet Rick and Michonne with their gas guzzling no range car managed to find this supply intact right before the inevitable showdown.

reply

Yep, and how many times have they been out on runs, and never found this? Totally implausible.

reply

Michonne and Rick were bragging about how tough they were over the walkers. Rick's actions just appear to be more of that overconfidence which could have killed him.

Rick reminded me of Carl when he went out on his own (chocolate pudding episode), thought he was tough and was almost killed by a walker.

reply

Rick was acting weird the whole episode. This was one of the worst episodes I've seen ever on the show. I can't imagine where the show goes after negan is neutralized. If this was a glimpse we are in trouble

reply

Rick was acting weird the whole episode

ABSOLUTELY! HE WAS SO OUT OFF CHARACTER! As if he was showing off for Michonne. Really silly episode. Very disappointed.

reply

I guess my problem is I've never really liked rick. So episodes that dwell on his inner character grate on me. I like Morgan. I like Daryl. Carol I like. I even like Carl. But I quite enjoy watching negan terrorize rick though. Something about rick strikes me as so stupid for so long now. I was actually hoping he was dead this episode. Michonne liking him diminishes my respect for her as well which is unfortunate.

reply

wow! that is dreadful. If you don't like Rick it mus be very difficult to watch this. I adore him, and Andy Lincoln plays him flawlessly. But, as I said, I almost didn't recognize him this last episode. SMH.

reply

Well I'm always rooting for him to die. So it's kind of fun

reply

I'm not much of a fan of Rick either. I like Andrew Lincoln but I find the character a bit too whiny and self important.. it was the same with Jack in Lost, the self-appointed leaders.. not a fan.

reply

Yikes!! Love my Rickster!

reply

All that lovey-dovey stuff with "Richonne", OH PLEASE! and actually made me think Michonne is a goner.

reply

I hope not, I like Michonne and it's good to finally have a strong woman on the show.

reply

Yeah, Michonne should be the one in charge. Its racist that the group be lead by Rick.

reply

He is only the leader because he joined the group early and because he was a policeman so was experienced at taking charge of situations.. I don't think he is the best choice of a leader though and I'm sure he would agree.

reply

But he's white. Couldn't have have had T-Dog in charge so it would be less racist?

reply

Then it would be sexist.. why not a woman? Just choose the best person for the job regardless of sex, age or race. And let's not forget, T-Dog is dead so clearly not the best choice.

reply

Who cares about sex? Race is all that matters. Also T-Dog was alive at first. Obviously after he died, someone like Michonne, Tyreese or Sasha should have been in charge.

reply

What about Glen? Or is it just about black or white people?

reply

Asians have more privilege than blacks.

reply

They're less prominent in films and shows.

reply

But they're more privileged.

reply

I really can't see anyone else as leader. He is perfect. We saw what happened when he gave everyone a vote and a voice! Chaos.

reply

I think in this world, they need a leader but I'm not sure whether Rick is the right person for it.. he seems to have done a fairly good job so far as I'm sure many other groups have been wiped out completely however he is far from perfect.
