am I the only one who doesn't see any chemistry between Andrew Lincoln and Danai?

"Richonne" just doesn't make sense to me, no matter how much they try to ship them on Talking Dead. Rick and that woman from Alexandria (with the "porch dick" husband) did, but Rick and Michonne - no, and I don't think the actors can sell it. Every single time there is some romantic scene between the characters, it seems forced to me, and in the entire time they've been a couple their relationship hasn't grown on me.

There was some nice hand holding last week, that looked very genuine and so the actors can pull of nuance when they want to.

reply

I don't either, but to be honest I haven't seen Andrew Lincoln show chemistry with anyone since Keira Knightley in Love Actually... he looks in a perpetual state of torment.

reply

I liked the idea of them together before because they just made so much sense to me together...It seemed inevitable.
But in this latest episode I did see chemistry. I thought they were pretty hot together. I don't think we've ever seen them like that before and it worked for me.
They fit together... and the feelings between them seem very genuine.......and passionate.

reply

I don't see how they fit together at all.

I think they are an odd couple considering Ricks past relationships.. she's certainly much stronger than Lori or that blonde woman in Alexandria (sorry I can't remember her name right now)... she just doesn't seem his type (we've not really seen her in any previous relationships to be able to judge her type). That said, I think the actors are doing a pretty good job of selling me on the relationship.

I think Rick's changed a lot since the beginning of the show. Most of the characters have changed from how they were when their ordeal began. It's possible that he wants a stronger partner after everything he's been through and Michonne certainly fits that bill. I also think the actors are doing a great job.

reply

That's a fair point.. the weaker women have both died so maybe he wants someone who is more his equal in survival.

reply

I agree that he needs a strong woman, but not Michonne.

A lot of the women in Walking Dead are really irritating, Michonne is probably the best if he is looking for a strong woman who isn't really annoying.

I love Richonne! I think the actors have great chemistry w/each other, and I loved seeing more of their relationship last night. I didn't see any chemistry btw Jessie and Rick. In fact, to this day, I have no idea why Rick was romantically interested in her. They barely spoke, but he was willing to go all "Shane" to have her. It didn't make sense to me.

Now, with Rick and Michonne, the writers have been building up their relationship since the prison. The fit and work well together. Love them.

I'll ask You a question, exatera. Seriously, what would it take for you to see them as a couple?

reply

If she were more attractive.

reply

I think they are pretty equally attractive but it's all down to personal taste.

reply

There's no other women for him to choose from right now, she's the best he's got.

reply

Why does he even NEED a woman right now? He should be concentrating on his kids and the revenge plan.

reply

I actually liked him with Sarah last season, but yea this is a big distraction for him. At least Michonne doesn't need him to protect her though.

True.

Maybe he doesn't NEED a woman, but maybe he wants someone to spend his life with
