S07E11 Recap and analysis

So we time travel back a bit to see the Saviors' actions after Daryl left. Eugene arrives at the Savior HQ after he reluctantly helped Rosita fashion a bullet to assassinate Negan. Rosita's assassination attempt failed, woefully lodging the bullet in Negan's beloved spiked bat, Lucille. Eugene was taken, but Rosita spared.

Negan is wising up. One of his men, Dwight is locked up, suspected of aiding or having information about Daryl's escape. One of Negan's wives, Sherry, has since disappeared since Daryl escaped. Negan questions Dwight, who reaffirms his loyalty to Negan but denies any knowledge of Sherry's whereabouts. We get a little backstory on Dwight here. Apparently Sherry used to be Dwight's wife, but she gave herself to Negan to save Dwight's life. Now Dwight is a loyal soldier. And from past episodes, I had just thought they had a secret thing for each other.
