Another lackluster episode...
Jesus what the hell is happening this season. Absolutely awful.
shareEugene should flip sides. He's more believable as a weasel into self preservation than anything resembling heroic.
shareI'm really enjoying this season. I liked tonight's episode too. What didn't you like about it?
shareNothing important happened. It just felt like more of the same of the 1st half. Negan showing his muscles, characters showing their hate for Negan, someone being punished for something, and yada yada yada. We've seen this already. Also, once again no Rick. Seems like hes only been in a couple episodes this season. Same can be said for many of the main cast.
I don't mean to be negative (I'm usually not) but this season has been frustrating. I am enjoying Negan but the story has gone nowhere this season.
Oh I think it'll pick up in a big way! I love this show I think this is the proverbial calm before the storm. You're right, it is different than other seasons, not as much action, but I have a feeling that will change soon.
shareHopefully. Im still in to the show but these filler episodes are killing me. Also, the lack of main characters on screen this season is ridiculous. I mean I think Maggie has been in about 4 episodes all year. Its crazy...
shareI don't think you're being negative. It sucks when you're not enjoying a show you usually like.
I can't say this has been one of my favorite seasons b/c I cannot stand Nega, but I haven't hated any episode yet. They have all been interesting to me. What I've found frustrating is everyone being under Negan's thumb, but now that Rick is fighting back, I've been happier. I hate Negan and can't wait to see him taken down! They set up a world where Negan rules, and now, they're setting up a world where the Saviors are no more! I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.
I hope the show becomes more enjoyable for you again soon!
I liked the episode and I thought Eugene was quite funny the way he was talking a lot of the time. I think he was more interesting being the focus of an episode than Tara was in "Swear".
shareIt's not even close. Tara could disappear with no explanation and only desperate virgins would care. Eugene is amusing at least.
shareOh for sure! I actually did enjoyed this one.
shareNothing that hasn't happened in every season. TWD managed two eps in a row at a relatively reasonable clip. That's a lot for TWD; they rarely ever even get in that many before reverting to form. What everyone should have learned by now is that the writers on this series aren't gong to do any more work than they must. If the option is properly plotting an ep vs. just coming up with a one-line "story" and packing the difference with filler, they opt for the latter almost every time.
shareYeah its just annoying. I think what bothers me the most is we never see Rick. I can't recall a show that goes multiple episodes without its lead character as much as TWD has. I understand there are lots of characters but they gotta show Rick more than what they've been showing.
shareI'm enjoying this series, I think Negan is a good villain, I really love to hate him! As for not seeing Rick so much, I personally see that as a positive.. more characters add more interest, at least for me as I find Rick can sometimes be a little moany and self-righteous, it's good to see him starting to get back into battle mode though! I'm interested to see where the rest of the series goes and I'm glad for some new characters and communities to follow!
