Sparks and Recreation

I don't know how many times I've seen this episode, but on my most recent rewatch I realized something. When Mayor Brody dies, Nathan feels for a pulse. How? His trouble is not being able to feel things, so how could he feel whether or not someone has a pulse?

I honestly think the writers sometimes forgot that certain troubles would make it impossible to do routine things and even more so with Nathan's. Someone noticed that Nathan's phone was on vibrate when Audrey called for him one time. He'd, of course, never feel it vibrating in his pocket, where he kept it. He also managed to uncuff himself in season 4, from behind his back. How on earth did he get the key in the tiny hole so fast?

There are plenty of other inconsistencies with the effects of the troubles, so I guess one must just roll with it and not study it too closely. Sci Fi shows require the suspension of belief and this one is definitely one of those.
