Double Jeopardy

I never watched this show when it was on TV, but Netflix threw it out as a recommendation at me, and so I tried it and soon got HOOKED. And then I was binging it, watching episode after episode in the evenings, FORCING myself to quit after 3 or 4 so I can get some shuteye.
Until *this* episode. I mean, I am apt to watch the rest of the series eventually, but when Double Jeopardy wrapped I was so displeased I wanted a break from the show.
It was that Nathan kissed Jordan. I know he's trying to infiltrate her li'l secret society, but that move was above &
beyond ! Not necessary. Not cool ??
Obviously I am 'shipping Nathan &Audrey very hard [historically, I have a tendency
to do this. It's basically the whole point of the show for me] . I do realize the course of true love never did run smooth, & all, bit this is a real b*tch nevertheless. Jess and Chris were only minor irritants, because they both came in to play before anything was declared between Nathan & Audrey. And OK, declarations on both sides were rather half-ass and vague. But in episodes afterward, there were sorta intense unspoken acknowledgements of the burgeoning relationship. Particularly hot was when they rescued Audrey from kidnapping and she ZOOMED into his arms like she did ?.
I won't deny that Audrey is being difficult, totally shutting him out, but this would be a good time for him to show how very steadfast he could be. I thought he was, actually until that kiss. Grrr. That put me off the show for, probably a week I expect [perhaps longer if new fall TV has any worthwhile offerings]

Wait until you watch Magic Hour. All I can say is that some writers made Nathan and Audrey act out of character for their own selfish reasons. That, plus catering to fans of other ships.

Sounds like I'll hate it. Tempted to skip right over it!!
Well, I'm still on hiatus anyway... we'll see...

I hated it too and it almost lost me as a fan, but the introduction of new writers and having to turn what was originally supposed to be a 10 episode mini-series, into a 5+ season series, necessitated a lot of added arcs and plots. Some made no sense and others just made me downright angry. I stuck with it though and the series righted itself eventually.

I loathe triangles, so this was a hard one to watch, especially since they keep certain ships apart for an unbearably long time. Audrey grabbing Chris's hand and leaving Nathan in the Roots covered barn, while he looked on, then ignoring his phone call to fall into bed with a guy she hated the day before, was pretty crazy too.

So, if you can see past the frustrating parts and interruptions and watch for the interesting trouble of the week, you'll eventually get your payoff. Their partnership, aside from the romance, was what kept the town and the show together as long as it did and is worth watching on its own. I hope you eventually return and see it through to the end. It was a good run and I'll always remember it as one of my very favorite shows.

I don't think she ignored the call, she just didn't hear it.
