Was anyone else turned off that...(spoiler)

...men were still not allowed to be in office at Barbieland at the end of the movie? I know the narrator said men in Barbieland would have to rise up like women had in the real world, but still. I felt bad for them. Ken was told he needed to find his own identity, but he probably should have joined Barbie in the real world for that to happen cause it doesn't look like he'll have much luck doing that in Barbieland.

Yes, that didn't sit well with me. There are women on the Supreme Court in the real world, but the Kens still aren't allowed even one Ken on the Supreme Court in Barbieland. Women can run for office, vote, and have positions of power in the real world, but the Kens in Barbieland do not have anywhere near equivalent to the rights that women have in the real world.

Seriously? It's actually explicitly explained within the film? I may have been overly generous with people who seem to have missed that point, thinking perhaps they'd not caught the subtext. But it's been spoon-fed to them in the classic American blockbuster style and they still couldn't fathom it?

Huh.
