What did the doc do?

Did he just. Remove the alian and the host survived after that ?
Why didn't they do that to wanda, why did jeb have a problem with it
The Doc wasn't able to remove the seekers/souls in the beginning without killing the humans. Whenever the Doc attempted to remove the seekers/souls, they would scramble the human's brain in a murder/suicide. It wasn't until Wanda showed them how to remove the seeker/soul that they were able to do it.
After the seekers/souls were removed, some humans never regained consciousness. This is what happened to the human that Wanda was put inside of at the end of the movie.

I was about to make a new thread asking that. By that stage of the movie my simple brain was a little tired of the grating pace and the twilight style teen-mance and I'd become distracted.
