This has nothing to do with Serlock Holmes
It is just a standard stupid action movie with characters named Holmes and Watson. Nothing whatsoever of Doyles's work is preserved, everything is just nonsense and stereotypes. It is a shame.
shareI absolutely agree; I think the whole franchise is a blatant cash cow from day one, trying to milk Downey Jr's newfound fame after Tropic Thunder. It's much more Iron Man than Conan Doyle.
Yet there are so-called Doyle fans here who would disagree. For the life of me I can't see what they like in this shrill, cheap film.
