What's taking so long for part 3?

We know it's only because RDJ is bound by his contract with Marvel and all but he can't multitask? He was able to make that judge movie no one went to see. All Jude Law's got a submarine movie that no one will likely see.

I wouldn't say no one saw The Judge. Its opening weekend made more than 12 Years a Slave's opening weekend. The Judge wasn't written to be a blockbuster, it's not going to make Avengers money.

That's what I came here to find out.

We need this urgently. It’s the perfect timing - RDJ is no longer consumed by Iron Man, Jude Law isn’t doing anything, Guy Ritchie is on the rise again… and Sherlock Holmes can work as an older character.

Update: looks like the insane global response to COVID has temporarily fucked this. It was set for a December 2021 release but has been indefinitely delayed.

Sounds like there’s a team ready to go, though, with Dexter Fletcher directing. I’d rather have Guy Ritchie back as he really gets this whole… thing, but Fletcher is an actor so can hopefully draw out great performances.

Most important of all, they need to avoid anything remotely woke. I trust RDJ and the producer are smart enough to do so 🙏🏻
