I dont recall seeing him arrested or killed, what happened to him?
Last time I saw him, he had blown a dart at Noomi Rapace's ficticious brother, was fleeing the scene and it seemed like Watson was going to give chase. Did something happen to him, or did he get away?
Moran definitely got away, which would somewhat follow the books (with obvious differences)
shareI just watched the movie and was also thinking that it is strange that there was no conclusive ending to his story arc. The director should have at least clearly shown that he got away.
In fact same goes for the lady who was searching for her brother. She was just dropped from the movie without resolution. That ballroom scene is where she was last seen when they found their target. I suppose there was no convenient way to get her out of the story. She found what she was looking for. :(
Actually, she was at the funeral for Holmes.
As regards Watson not pursuing the killer, he was faced with a dilemma - as a doctor, he was attending a dying man, so could he just go chasing off after Moran, thereby leaving Rene to die? OK, so there was no way of saving Rene, but it was his professional duty to stay with him until the end - so he did.
Is moran's character at 'The End?'
He escaped to parts unknown if they don't hurry up the 3rd movie.
