because they never asked him too. i know one producer claims they did but Englund himself has said he was never approached, not even for a silly cameo or something.

Well I remember of an interview in the U.K with Englund for Freddy vs Jason were he was admitting that it wasn't easy to play Freddy anymore because it was starting to be all too physical for him...

Whether or not he said that, he wanted to do another one after Freddy vs Jason, and was never asked to do anything for the remake.

I agree that they could have asked them to do a cameo at least..

Well, Robert's in great shape. I think the problem with FvJ was that it seemingly was the MOST physical NOES related movie to date. Freddy had to run around, fight and such. Of course Robert's going to get tired. Any actor would probably get tired in such a physically demanding role. I mean, it WAS Freddy versus Jason, a movie that pushed that the two horror icons were going to duke it out.

That being said, Robert could more than handle another stab at Freddy if he was doing, basically, what he did with the first movies, walking slowly, with a menacing stride. I wouldn't expect to see him flipping around or doing martial arts. LOL!

You know what? you actually make a lot of sense , didn't think of it this way at all...FVJ was more or less WWE Horror style, its true...
