I still think this one is better then the Friday the 13 doc..

Although the Friday the 13th Doc was nearly double the size (A wooping 7 hours) of this one , I felt Never sleep again had more to say and overall was more fun to watch.
The people involved in the NOES series were more fun and ANOES films have so much special effects that they never ran out of things to cover. With the Friday the 13th doc I felt they were stretching a lot of the segments because there was no more things to say about some of the films.
But that is just my opinion of course...

I think the difference is that the ELM STREET sequels were made out of love, whereas all the FRIDAY THE 13TH sequels were produced for the love of money. So everyone involved with FRIDAY THE 13TH are less enthuasiastic about the series now than the New Line folks.
I don't mean to impose, but I am the Ocean.

They were really both made for money...

@ Casserole - I wouldn't say for love but I definitely think that New Line was always going to have a soft spot for the NOES series since it was the one that put them on the map. There probably wasn't nearly as much devotion with the Friday the 13th movies from Paramount because they were already well established and didn't really need him, thus letting the rights to the Jason Voorhees character go after part 8.

I love NSA more than His Name Was Jason. I like both series, but NSA was better made in my opinion.I feel like they kinda rushed each segment with His Name Was Jason, and there was something sorta off-putting about adding people from other movies or unrelated things into the documentary.

A bit of the old ultraviolence...
