Betrayed Girl Vows Revenge, Then Gets It
Yep, pretty much.
That's the problem with this flick. Not the girlfighting (which I liked!), not the casting (I actually see a future for this young lady). Just the complete lack of any story depth, nuance, specific character building, or twists.
They started us in the middle. Explained how she got betrayed (VIA DIRECT NARRATION to some kid she carjacks). Took her directly to getting revenge. No stops along the way. Just a very blunt and boring script.
Here. Let me re-write it - you tell me if it's any different than what you saw:
Mallory: "Hi. I'm Mallory. I was just betrayed."
Kid With Car: "Oh, that's too bad."
Mallory: "Yea."
Mallory: "Hey, there's the guy that betrayed me."
Kenneth: "Don't kill me!"
*kills him*
*roll credits*
