Mallory is married to...

Ok, I know this seems weird, but Rodrigo says his motivation behind setting everything in motion is "a new wife". Now I know nothing in the movie supports this, but if Mallory is not his wife, what is the explanation for her meeting with him at a cafe/restaurant early on in the film? No information was exchanged other than his asking how long has she been working with Kenneth. Hmmm, I guess if he were her husband he would know that already. So now I'm just musing as I type this cause I just poked a hole in my own theory.

Yet, at the end of the movie, he looks like someone who thinks he's starting a new phase in life, clean shaven - although I could be reading too much into that.

I know I could be waaaaaay off base with this so anybody else got thoughts on this? So if he's not Mallory's husband, what does she have to do with him acquiring a new wife?

You have a neat little twist there.

I wish the director of the film had gone your route.

I still liked HAYWIRE/KNOCKOUT but even more so if she had been married to Rodrigo in a sort of failing marriage.

Also I remember Kenneth asking over a cellphone "if the divorce (elimination) of Mallory was final yet?" So more fodder for your premise.
