Why did characters overlook this simple, already-tried solution?
Not that they would have had this actually occur in the film, why didn't they at least consider having the King read his speech while listening to music over headphones, even as a last-minute Plan B? After all it was proven to work early on, and was the key factor in his returning to the speech therapist. They were alone in a secluded room, so no one would have seen this albiet temporary remedy. Yes, I realize that doing so would have robbed the film of of it's climactic finish and, not to mention, it's triumph for the main character. Just a thought.
