first half

I actually enjoyed the first half of the film i feel like the second half of the film were all the reshoots because the first half felt a bit like chronicle but the second half felt chopped and screwed

I watched this last night and I could clearly tell the reshoots from the original. The reshoots were brighter and the original shots had a blueish grey filter over it. I could definitely see a decent movie from what the original parts that were there.

I actually think they were never suppose to fight Doom in the original version. To me the original Doom shots were part of some ending to set up the next movie. I really wish they would put out the original version.

This version we all saw killed the franchise. True to the comics or not, the original version might have jump started the fantastic four franchise like Ironman did. Ironman was darker than people were use to for a comic movie, maybe this was the next step needed to get something out of fantastic four.

For me darkness has nothing to do with it. I loved Watchmen and it was dark as it gets. But I just found the characters to be bland and unlikable. That isn't the Fantastic Four.

In the kingdom of the blind, you're the village idiot.

I think the bland characters were part of the bases to start the movie. I read how part of Tranks vision for the movie was to show how each of the Fantastic four would struggle to come to terms with their new powers. I think this was one of the reasons the studio thought it was too dark and decide to change or gloss it over in the second half of the movie. Toby Kebbell talked about how Doom was suppose to be resurrected from ashes and how they only used 4 scenes he shot as Doom. Alot was cut from this movie especially after they got their powers, I think that is when we learn the most about a comic book character.

No, no, NO.

I agree, the first half was decent and even though it was cheesy as hell I was really enjoying the direction it was taking. It's such a shame we'll never see what the film could have been.

All halves were terrible. It took 40 minutes until they got their superpowers. Forty *beep* minutes of introduction. It's not like they were used with great scenes or dialogue.

If I don't reply, you're probably on my ignore list for something I forgot already
