I too was surprised how watchable this was! What's the problem?
Where did the 9% Rotten Tomatoes rating come from!? Sometimes it must get trendy for critics to jump on a bandwagon to pan a movie. Felt more like a 50-60%er
I was expecting a cocktail of tedium and corny jokes but it was well paced, didn't try to get cute, and I found myself engaged from start to finish. It wasn't perfect, but not worthy of the panning it received. I'd say it was comparable to Ant Man in terms of entertainment value.
By contrast, Batman v. Superman was slow, boring, had poorly conceived characters, and deserved even worse reviews than the bad reviews it got.
