Town would be crawling with cops !

An infamous mass killer escapes in the same area as his previous crimes , killing the cops on the bus and the investigate journalists which would place it all over the news both local and nationwide !
And yet we are to believe haddonfield is virtually a cop free zone with the public , kids going about as normal until michael kills a baby sitter and her boyfriend ?!!
And even when the cops do show up its pretty pathetic in numbers !
Found that all to be pretty ludicrous tbh !
