I prefer Halloween 1, 2 and H20

... as an unofficial but definitive "Halloween" trilogy, as opposed to all of them, the two Rob Zombie films or the first film and "Halloween" (2018).

Halloween 1 - kicks off the Laurie Strode vs Michael Myers story
Halloween 2 - wraps up Loomis' role in the films
Halloween H20 - concludes the storyline between a grown-up Laurie and Michael

I guess there are so many films in this series now (two different "timelines", one alternate "universe", and however you want to view "Halloween 3") that you can essentially mix-and-match them into your own favourite version of the storyline...

Agreed. Unlike most slasher sequels these hold their own and should not be retconned like what's happened here.

Whether you like it out not 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 are the real Halloween movies and everything after are just Fan Fictions

I agree - the Jamie character based ones are the worst of the series.
