I don't think so. Because the directors Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah are from my country, Belgium. And they made some great action movies that have been watched only locally. Checkout "Patser", the cinematography will be very similar.
shareBased off of the trailers alone, it looks just as mediocre as Bad Boys II (2003). Martin Lawrence appears tired and worn out at this point.
No matter how hard they try, it'll never come close to the original from 1995. There's something special about it that I can't quite put my finger on.

shareI was in college when Bad Boys 2 came out. It was HUGE! Only people who dislike great movies with over-the-top action and Black haters would put it down.

I think the original is one of the most fun, entertaining, really good, underrated movies I have ever seen.
It was just entertaining from beginning to end.
The boys looked good, Tea great, Theresa was funny, the rest of the supporting cast were cast perfectly for their role.
I watch it to this day.

It was dull, not funny, oh and lets get Marcus's sister to hook up with Mike, cause why not???????

III looks just as bad. Might be even worst because the doesn't really tell you anything.
Who knows... Producer Jerry Bruckheimer was not too thrilled with the final product. So much so that he pulled these "Arab kids" off Beverly Hills Cop 4. A film he was producing next and had hired the same guys to direct.
Apparently the studio felt the same way and decided to release this in January. Both previous films was huge summer blockbusters.
Will Smith in a producer capacity managed to get Michael Bay back for #4.
It's also my understanding that the publicity budget for Bad Boys for Life has been reduced gravely as well.

shareI think this is a movie where each individual needs to decide if they like it and to not go off of what others think. I know a lot of people hate Bad Boys 2, but in 2019 (well, pretty much 2020 now), my friends and I still enjoy the movie and it is among one of the top movies we still quote. I think we were freshmen in high school when the movie hit theaters, although all of us didn't watch it until DVD or it started airing on HBO or whatever channel it went to. And me and one of my friends are definitely excited for Bad Boys 3 after seeing the first trailer. I know the movie is releasing in January 2020, and January is the worst month to release movies in since that's the month with junk movies, but I'm not too worried. I'm not expecting Pulp Fiction or Forrest Gump with this movie. I'm expecting something "dumb" and fun and a movie I turn to when I need a break from doing a marathon of what's being nominated like crazy during award season, or just watching Oscar winning movies throughout the years. I like Forrest Gump, but I enjoy "dumb" stuff like Bad Boys and Fast & Furious. So I really don't care what anyone else says about Bad Boys 3. It just seems like a movie I'll definitely have to watch myself and see if I like it or hate it. I just know there is a lot of stuff in Bad Boys 2 that people hate, but I love. Everyone says there is too much humor, for example, but it's Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Those two are kind of known for their humor or being funny. That's why I accepted all the humor in Bad Boys 2. So yeah. I just think Bad Boys 3 will be a movie that each individual has to decide on and not go off what others are saying.
