Neon Takes Worldwide Rights To Horror Film ‘Shelby Oaks’; Reviews Saturday

Fresh off its stellar box office for Osgood Perkins horror Longlegs, Neon has acquired worldwide rights to the upcoming documentary-found footage crossover Shelby Oaks, written and directed by filmmaker and YouTube creator Chris Stuckmann.

Stuckmann’s debut film will have its world premiere at Fantasia Festival on Saturday.

Launched from a 2022 Kickstarter campaign which raised $1.39M for the film in under a month – the most-funded horror film ever on Kickstarter – Shelby Oaks follows Mia (Sullivan) as she frantically searches for her sister Riley (Durn), who ominously disappeared in the last tape of her investigative series, ‘Paranormal Paranoids’.

I mean, Stuckmanns following will make it a financial success regardless of quality. I still bet it's shit, but not surprised they picked it up.
