What are other ways they could've gotten rid of their bosses?

Dale could've either kept a tape recorder on him to document all of Julia's sexual harassment, or showed the pics of her taking advantage of him to the cops.
Kurt could've just had Bobby arrested for doing cocaine at work, especially around dangerous chemicals.
After learning how violent and jealous Harken was, Nick could've just planted Bobby's cell phone in his house, along with maybe a fake love letter, to provoke Harken into killing Bobby (like what happened) and then have him arrested for it.

What else could they have done?

So essentially you are saying good alternative ways to get rid off them is doing exactly what happened when it comes to Harken and Julia. When it comes to Bobby, would you have him arrested before or after he gets shot?

Well, quitting their jobs would be one option....except, they were looking for promotion so they had to get rid of their Bosses.
Kurt could file a complaint on Bobby as a registered sex offender. Dale should have Harken's house planted with peanuts in the most unusual places. As for Julia, there's no way to get rid of a man-eater other than quitting his job. Dale was engaged and Julia was wrecking his relationship, so yeah Dale should have quit.

I'd probably just have resigned myself to bopping Dr Julia...horrible fate, but...we do what we have to...
