I have a feeling Mary will go back to hoarding within 2 years.

I think she had an epiphany for the sake of the show, but I don't think she got it in the end. She will destroy that house again and we will see those kids in 6 years as furious, bitter preteens consumed by their mom's junk again.

I agree.

You know what never ceases to amaze me? It's when people--whether they're hoarders living in extreme clutter and filth, or 600+ pound bed-bound people who eat, poop, and cook in bed--say they're "GREAT" parents. Really? Um, yeah, I don't think so!

People like this only understand materialistic love. They believe that their children's happiness can also be bought with toys, because they themselves are not satisfied unless they acquire new things.

I agree. It didn't really seem to register with her that she needs to permanently change her spending habits.

I didnt think about the materlistic love aspect with her, but it does make sense now.
