I really felt Roxann was just plain lazy. No doubt she was depressed about losing her Mother but I think she just wanted others to do the work while she gave the orders.

People suffering major depressive disorder can find it difficult to simply get out of bed, no less get up, shower, and dress and then work on their own highly difficult issues. The fact that she managed to do it at all is remarkable.
I find your response interesting considering you posted this re: the "Low Life's" thread.
Please do not mistake a person having issues with a person having a diagnosed mental disorder. Everyone has issues which get triggered. That does not indicate pathology.
Roxann wasn't clinically depressed. She was able to maintain her hygiene and the house didn't look incredibly dirty. Only cluttered. She also had no problem at that time maintaining a relationship with her boyfriend and she took wonderful care of her son.
That suggests to me that she thought she could get others to do the work for her. share

The fact that she managed to do it at all is remarkable.I didn't get the feeling, AT ALL, that Roxann (with no "e") was dealing with clinical depression. Yes, she was grieving after losing her mother very recently, plus she was a new mom, so there may have been postpartum-related issues, but the show didn't say that. Besides, that house had been like that for a VERY LONG time! Her mom had died two months earlier, while the house had been hoarded for years, if not decades.

shareI was under the impression that Roxann and her mother had lived there together,at least up unti!l a point. They didn't say the mother died in the house so maybe she was in hospice when she passed. I believe she made a comment about the house having passed down. They did she them going through the mothers room, and at one point Roxann was smelling her mother's clothes. They just weren't very clear on those issues.
