Lonnie with the space craft

...I could see why they assigned Dr. Tolin to this case as it appeared to me to be absolutely hopeless. I felt very bad for Lonnie's wife she didn't seem to have any power. Unbelievable how much $$ he spent. If you were his wife, what would you do?

I'm not American so I don't know what the divorce laws are in their state (was it Nevada?), but if there were any way to get out of that marriage without going into further ruin (as though millions in debt isn't bad enough!), I'd be gone if I were his wife. The guy was such a narcissist! Sometimes we'll see people on this show who realize they need help and are actually interested in changing; this one was not among them. It didn't look like his wife had any hope of their situation improving. I felt sad for her.

It's always surprising to see how far in denial even the sharpest people can be. Not thinking that you need paperwork to validate the monetary value and the validity of a collectible? Yeesh.

It's crazy that he was once the lieutenant governor of a state. Or a doctor.

I actually liked him at first, but I saw the impact he had on his wife. Awful guy.

He had been on American Restoration in the past and had been offered considerable amounts of money for things and refused to sell that was quite a few years back, but I did not believe all that stuff he had was as worthless as they claimed, the main problem he was never going to part with the most valuable things.

As bad as Lonnie was the episode with Jackie (first aired Jan 2016) was truly absurd. She had worked as a computer programmer & had to retire after being diagnosed with cancer. Her boss gave her a million dollar retirement package. Already a compulsive high end shopper, she began buying expensive collectable teddy bears & dolls from ebay and other auction sites. She spent all the money and filled up her large home from floor to ceiling with them. Some still in boxes. Most piled up like trash instead of being displayed or being left in the packaging , which adds to the value of some collectables.

I saw that one awhile back, she insisted someone was living in the house stealing her most expensive bears, I wish they would have made her sign an agreement that said she couldn't change her mind about selling the bears, because that's exactly what she did at the end of the episode cancelled the sell and had them all returned to her.

I've seen a handful of episodes where the hoarder had them unload the trucks or pods and bring the stuff back. It's madness! Bless those that help with the clean-up because I'd still be cursing and screaming at some of these people.

I could not even get through the "teddy bear" episode..what a shame

I'm convinced that one lady threatened to lay the smack down on her if she didn't get rid of the bears I think it was her sister or sister in law I forget which.

That was Jackie's friend who along with the son & daughter , was helping with the clean-up. She got fed up when Jackie stopped talking to the organizer & therapist. She told Jackie everyone was on the verge of walking out and she could just lay down in her house with the filth and no one would come and help her. Jackie responded her house was not filthy it was messy. I didn't realize the 3 truckloads of bears & dolls had already been taken off to the auction house when she said she wanted them back. I thought the trucks were still at the house. She was a real piece of work.
